Turnstone Support

All staff have training.  This is to make sure they do their job well and keep you and them safe.

Staff must do this within 12 weeks. 

This includes:

Emergency Aid

Moving and Handling

Fire Awareness

Health and Safety

Care and Control of Medication

Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults

Positive Communication 

Staff will need to have training on other things. This will help them to support you in the right way.

This may include:

• Autism awareness
• Epilepsy awareness
• Other things 

Staff have to do a longer course called a National Vocational Qualification or NVQ. 

Staff will need to write about what they do. Staff will need to talk about why they do it.
 
The law says what type of NVQ is needed and Turnstone support the staff to do this
